When talent helps integration

Salomon Sulzer never had great difficulties integrating in society. Because of his achievement and his innovations, he was also accepted by his christian fellow men. He was more regarded as a musician of great talent and an important reformer. His religious identity never played such an important role.
Even today people with a different ethnic and/or religious background have difficulties with integration. If these people achieve something, they will be sooner assimilated and accepted by society. A good example are sportsmen who come to another country or are even invited, in order to show their skills. A very good example from Vorarlberg is Mike Galeli, the first Mister Vorarlberg of Turkish descent. At first he had difficulties being accepted by the local people in Vorarlberg, but when they noticed his “achievements” as Mister Vorarlberg, he was better integrated. Today he is active as an actor and model and accepted by most people.
