Red: activity, dynamics, danger, temperament, anger, heat;

Red is the warmest of all colours. Red is the colour chosen mostly by extroverts and one of the top picks of males. On the negative side red can mean temper or anger. Red is associated with fiery heat and warmth. It can also mean danger (burning). Red is the colour of blood, and as such has strong symbolism of life and vitality. It brings focus to the essence of life and living with emphasis on survival. Red is also the colour of passion and lust. On the traffic lights, red stands for danger.

Nitsch: Nowadays we have an extremely high idea of hygiene. Intestines aren’t unsavory. When you go to the supermarket, you’ll see meat which looks very appetizing. No one would think of the death, and that these animals died for us.

Blue: harmony, satisfaction, silence, passivity, infinity;

The colour blue has a calming effect. This colour is ideal to find one’s personable harmony and the harmony inside. It’s good to reduce stress and nervousness. The vibration of blue can be used to open an energy flow where it is blocked. Using blue to relax will encourage feelings of communication and peace.

Green: self-assertiveness, freshness, insistence, relaxation;

The colour green represents hopes and immortality. Green has a comforting effect. Green contains the powerful energies of nature, growth, desire to expand or increase one’s potential.
On the traffic lights, green stands for a free passage.

Orange: joy, spiritedness, fun, exuberance;

Orange is a power colour. It is one of the healing colours. It is said to increase the craving for food. It also stimulates enthusiasm and creativity. Orange means vitality with endurance. People who like orange are usually thoughtful and sincere. It belongs to the warm colours and symbolizes optimism.

Purple: self-centredness, vanity, loneliness, frugality;

Purple is the colour of good judgment. It is the colour of people seeking spiritual fulfilment. It is said that if you surround yourself with purple you will have peace of mind. Purple is a good colour to use in meditation. Purple has been used to symbolize magic and mystery, as well as royalty.

White: virginity, clearness, neatness, easiness, perfection;

White is the colour of purity. White has purifying vibrations and can be used to clear any obstacles off your path. It holds the potential to move toward every other colour and this makes it a good choice for new beginnings, and development in any direction. White is a symbol of loyal love.
