Memory

The machine didn’t work with bytes (=8 bits) but rather with internal words of 48 bits. A set of data was stored in words of 48 bits. There were two memories. One was the internal memory with a capacity of 2 400 bits or 50 words. The external magnetic disc storage with 3000 rpm contained 480 000 bits or 10 000 words on 200 trades with 2 400 bits each.
