| BIOGRAPHY Born 1940 in Preßburg Painter, musician, writer and successful yachtsman. He studied at the university of applied arts in Vienna. Since 1966 he had close contacts to the "Wiener Aktionismus". Attersee was close to object- and actionart, in which he created works by integrating music, speech and other media in a new way. Consequently, drawing and painting became a central aspect of his work. He gave special significance to the themes sexuality and natural experience. Significant for his paintings, usually in acrylic, executed in a "figural-symbolic"style, are bright colours and dynamic brushstrokes. In the setting of his exhibitions he arranges performances with music and literature. http://www.sra.at/sr/persons/11007.htm
