You have good reasons to belive that the church of Sunne is the oldest church in Fryksdalen. The church has been burnt down three times. The churchyard has been build out three times: 1922, 1951 and 1973. The church was from the beginning build in wood, but have been rebuild many times.

Almost every church in Fryksdalen is close to the water. The first was burnt down in the 9^th of July in 1699. The third time the church was burnt down was the 21^st of February 1886. In 1963 the church was rebuilt. Nowadays it´s so much other things then the church and the ceremonies that wants the attention. For example *julottan and *adventssöndagen.
*Julottan is the morning of Christmas day, the 25^th of December.
* Adventssöndagen is the 4^th Sunday before Christmas.
