
GENERAL SUBJECTS: mathematics, geography, history, biology, physics, arts, music, philosophy, psychology, religious education, physical educationLANGUAGES: English, French or Italian, German
VOCATIONAL SUBJECTS: bookkeeping, applied economics, computing, typing, shorthand, wordprocessing; creative design, dietetics, cooking + service, kitchen and service management
From the third form students can specialise in either business-languages or cultural tourism.
In summer between the 3rd and the 4th year the students have to serve a three months practical training and work experience at a hotel, restaurant or office.
At the end of the 4th year there are final exams in restaurant service and cooking.At the end of the 5th year there are final written and oral exams (called MATURA)
GRADUATES can go on to study at universities, or at colleges (for teachers or nurses or special tourism colleges), they can work in the hotel and catering industry, in tourism, in banking and finance, in offices, in the retail trade.
