We are 23 students (18 girls, 5 boys), mostly 16 years old, and attend
the Grammar School at Klosterneuburg. As humanists and students of
modern languages we learn English, Latin and French/Greek. We also
attend the following optional subjects: biology, English, history,
information, Italian, physics, Russian and Spanish. Our class has
already taken part in other projects (because we're so well-behaved!).
This project called forth very different reactions from the students
of our class. For some it was additional stress, others enjoyed the
unusual school days. Some comments:
A change from school routine, .....it's unusual to work together with the whole class and the teachers, without being under force or pressure to get higher grades, ..... work on a project needs a lot of patience, ..... tiring, but interesting and amusing at the same, .....the topic was forced on us too much, .....great, that one could choose his/her jobs himself/herself for the most part, .....but too confusing, because everyone did something else, .....printing of the T-shirts very positive, but heavy-going, .....would have liked to work more on the computer, .....teamwork within the class and with the teachers was really good, .....totally new experience, .....interviews done with great pleasure, .....one feels great questioning other people with the microphone, .....it was marvellous to read E-mails from various countries around the world!!

We worked on this project for almost four months, during art and
english lessons. Our project managers were
Mag. Swinda Loderer (arts)
and
Mag. Doris Sygmund (English)
Interviews, sketches, excursions, .. were made, groups searched for information about Klimt and Schiele in various jobs and our "slaves" Johanna, Martina und Philipp devoted a good many hours to presenting our results in a pleasant lay-out...
